The OurWedding Dad Awards
We all think our dad is the best of all, but there are some dads who shine in their own particular way. On the occasion of Father’s Day OurWedding is proud to introduce the 2017 Dad Awards.

KNPD chairman Oliver Scicluna’s tireless work and determination to improve the quality of life of the differently-abled has made him loved and respected by many in the community. Oliver and his wife Angela welcomed their first son, Declan, six months ago.
Tastiest dad – Sean Gravina
No not like that – although to be fair he’s not half bad to look at. The Masterchef Professionals quarter-finals is renowned for cooking up a storm and we can’t wait till he opens up his bakery/café Crust in St Julian’s so we can try out his delicious treats for ourselves.
Best bad dad - Chris Dingli
Even though his one-man comedy show Bad Dad is all about how the trials and tribulations of being a first-time father, we’re pretty sure the hilarious and fun-loving Chris is actually a super dad to his adorable little girl Imogen.
Most health-conscious dad – Emil Brikha
Born in Iran and brought up in Sweden, Emil (Fatherologist on Facebook) is now is documenting his daily life in Malta with his son, Ean. After Ean was born, he totally changed his outlook on fitness and is now on a mission to make sure Ean eats healthily and grows up fit – first and foremost by setting a great example. He’s also single-handedly dismantling stereotypes about stay-at-home dads. Go Emil!

Daniel Chircop, known as half of the comedy duo Dan u San, became a father for the first time last year. Although on stage he’s famous for his silly performances, Daniel took to fatherhood like a fish to water, and posts regular updates about his super-cute son Max on his Facebook fanpage, Daddies Rock.
Most progressive dad – Kris Grima
Facebook via Kris Grima
Malta has made huge strides when it comes to LGBT rights, and Kris and his husband were the first same-sex couple to legally adopt a child in Malta. They became the parents of Ben, a beautiful little boy with Down syndrome in July 2016. “We are living our dream to be parents to Ben, and also his dream to have a loving family,” Kris said last year.
Dad with the best voice - Joseph Calleja
It’s always a bit embarrassing when dads start singing – unless your dad happens to be a world-class tenor like Joseph Calleja. He’s not too big for family singalongs either - here he is singing with his two children, Clara and Xandru, in a super heart-warming rendition of Ninni La Tibkix Izjed. Is it Christmas yet?
