Barbara Bush ties the knot in a gorgeous, custom-made Vera Wang dress

She was escorted down the aisle by her father, former President George W. Bush.

Barbara Bush, daughter of former President George W. Bush, has led a very public life, but last weekend, she managed to keep her nuptials to Craig Coyne under the radar. The two tied the knot in Maine, US, at a private ceremony with family members.

She was escorted down the aisle by her former-POTUS father, wearing a custom-made gown by Vera Wang Bride, complemented with a cape and veil, both made of floor-length Italian tulle, which was absolutely stunning!

Her “something borrowed” paid tribute to her late grandmother, Barbara Bush, who passed away last April. She wore the bracelet her grandfather, former President George H. W. Bush gave to her grandmother on their 70th anniversary.

Both her father and her sister, Jenna, also paid homage to the matriarch. Her father took to Instagram to give a sweet nod to his mum and daughter; “Barbara is named for a unique and strong woman – and rightly so, because she is unique and strong.” Her sister, who served as matron of honour, read a letter their grandfather wrote to their late grandmother during her speech.

Her mother, Laura Bush, also took to Instagram to congratulate the happy couple and posted a cute family photo, of the newlyweds, her parents, her sister and brother-in-law, and her two little nieces.
