Meghan Markle’s mother arrives in the UK ahead of the arrival of Baby Sussex

She’s flown across the pond to be by her daughter’s side.

Doria Ragland, Meghan Markle’s mother, has flown from Los Angeles to London as the Duke and Duchess await the arrival of their first child. And there’s no other sure sign of a baby’s imminent birth than the arrival of close family.

Doria Ragland has reportedly taken all the measures to ensure she can stay as long as needed after the birth of Meghan’s first child – in fact, she cancelled the Friday yoga class she teaches at a senior citizens’ centre and hired a dog walker.

The UK, and possibly quite a chunk of the rest of the world, has had royal baby fever ever since Kensington Palace made the announcement last October during Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s first royal tour together of Australia and the South Pacific.

However, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are diverting from some well-known royal traditions. Unlike Prince William and Kate Middleton, Meghan and Harry have remained tight-lipped about their birth plans – a decision by the couple which Kensington Palace explained in a statement a few weeks ago.
