One week before the wedding? Here is your beauty plan!
1. 7 days before: get a massage
This is a bit of a stressful time, so no one is going to begrudge you some down time. Book yourself a massage a full seven days before the wedding – just enough time to feel the full benefits of the treat up until your special day.
2. 6 days before: trim your hair and brows
Some have advised not touching your hair until the day of the wedding, but if you’ve got long locks you might want to trim them a few days before. You will be guaranteed sheen and you won’t have to spend precious time tidying the ends up on the day. And, same thing with the brows!
3. 5 days before: exfoliate and get a facial
Dry elbows and knees? Exfoliate to get the the softest skin a few days before your wedding. And, while you’re at it, book yourself in for a facial – but, don’t leave it longer than 5 days before the wedding. Your skin will need time to calm down after treatment, and the last thing you want is a bunch of zits in your wedding photos.
4. 4 days before: wax
Trim up all your excess hair – or get rid of it completely - with a waxing session a minimum of 4 days before the big day. You might not have time to squeeze in a session later on during the week so you might as well tick this one off your list!
5. 3 days before: exercise
Okay, so the reality is you should be doing this twice a week anyway. The point is: don’t forget your routines! And, this is a pretty important one if you want to look and feel the best that you can.
6. 2 days before: get your mani pedi
With all your maids and your mum! In the run-up to the wedding, the lot of you will need to get your hands and nails done. It will be a bonding experience and you’ll be able to share the excitement. Plan the nail polish colour before, but leave it up to your girls to choose which works best for them.
7. 1 day before: pack your beauty kit
Nail file? Check. Lippie? Check. Pack a little beauty kit, to be held by your maid of honour, just in case you need a little bit of touching up before the photographer presses that button.
8. And don’t forget to…
Drink plenty of water, get lots of sleep and eat well…every day of the week!
